(my photo, my styling, my calligraphy interference)

...got this list of advice in Jan, 2006....still valid all these 10 y e a r s later!

YOU GOTTA KNOW THAT

- your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong
- keep skunks and bankers and lawyers at a distance
- life is simpler when you plow around the stump
- a bumble-bee is considerably faster than a John Deer tractor
- words that soak into your ears are whispered..., not yelled
- meanness don't yes happen overnight
- forgive your enemies: it messes up their heads
- do not corner something you know is meaner than you
- it don't take a very big person to carry a grudge
- you cannot unsay a cruel word
- every path has a few puddles
- when you get to wallow with pigs, expect to get dirty
- the best sermons are lived, not preached
- most of the stuff people worry about ain't gonna happen anyway
- don't judge folks by their relatives
- remember that silence is sometimes the best answer
- live a good, honorable life: then when you get older and think back, you''ll enjoy it a second time
- don't interfere with somethin' that ain't botherin' you none
- timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance
- if you find yourself in a hole, first thing to do is stop diggin'
- sometimes you get, and sometimes you get got
- the  biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with, watches you from the mirror
  e v e r  y  morning!
- always drink upstream from the herd
- good judgement comes from experience, and a lotta that comes from bad judgement
- meeting the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier than puttin' it back in
- if you get thinking you're a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else's dog around
- live simply; love generously; care deeply; speak kindly
- leave the rest to the will of the winds

...stranger than strange how a few things make more sense than all others, and one can still not have a clue about anything really!

(my photo, shot 15 years ago...!)

When going through an introspective phase, (again!), unexpectedly finding yourself looking at photos of your personal life from the last 15 years....maybe it is in the order of questions to inquire if all the information you've fed yourself has been a banquet or a starvation diet!
And even if it might have been a 'bulimic trip'.
This does not only refer to food at all.
It includes all the experiences you have provided yourself with.
It looks at the people you have brought into your life.
It appraises the sounds and sights and ideas you have allowed to pour into your very own and precious imagination!

...from time to time, all of us take this type of essential inventory of our lives...

It is important to be kind to ourselves when conducting 'life mapping'.
We will only find the inspiration and the power to make necessary changes, when we find the point of interest, the focus, the passion, the love we carry within ourselves.
